Dr. Zeb Poindexter III

Dr. Zeb F. Poindexter III is the owner of Poindexter Dental Inc.  He took the reins in 2000 when his father, Dr. Zeb F. Poindexter Jr. retired. The Poindexters are pioneers in dentistry, and they are committed to serving the needs of their patients and the community.  Dr. Poindexter, Jr. was the first graduate of UT-Dental School-Houston, and he and his son were the first Father-Son team to complete the Doctorial Dental program. 

Established in 1956, Poindexter Dental is a full-service dental practice focusing on crowns, bridges, traditional and mini dental implants, orthodontics, fillings, surgeries, extractions, teeth cleaning and treating oral diseases.

Dr. Poindexter III has the credentials to offer these services.  He attained a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston in 1984.  He served as a dental associate at the Harris County Hospital District for six years, taught as an assistant professor at UT Dental School for six years and served as a staff dentist at Twelve Oaks Hospital for 10 years.

He continued with his professional education and accreditation which led to a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1994.  He has Fellowships in the Mid America Orthodontic Society (1989), Certificates in Cosmetic/Restorative Dentistry, Endodontic, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Implantology, Oral Surgery and Sedation Dentistry. Studying domestically and internationally, Dr. Poindexter received awards from Harvard University in Advanced Periodontal Surgery and Advanced Implantology from the Alliance Institute in Korea.

Dr. Poindexter III is very involved with the community.  He volunteers to help needy families at home and abroad.  In his free time, he rides his bike, plays golf, and goes fishing. He loves spending time with his wife, Anna, their six children and eight grandchildren.
